Waxing

Waxing is a form of semi-permanent hair removal. As the hair is removed from the root, hair in the waxed area will not grow back for 2 to 8 weeks, although some may see regrowth within a week.

Be Bare Waxing uses premium grade hard wax that is suitable for customers with sensitive skins.

The wax is applied at lukewarm temperature and removed when it cools and hardens. This method of waxing is beneficial for individuals with sensitive skin. We also use strip wax for softer hairs.

Almost any area of the body can be waxed, including the pubic area, underarm, stomach, nose, toes, fingers etc.

Benefits of waxing:

Common concerns:

  • Will waxing hurt?

    Since hair is being removed, there will definitely be some discomfort, but the discomfort is nothing unbearable and depends on each individual’s pain tolerance threshold and the region being waxed. Delicate areas such as the bikini area can cause a little more sensation than the other regions.

  • Will my hair grow back?

    Yes. As waxing is a semi-permanent hair removal treatment, hair will eventually grow back between 2-8 weeks later but some may see growth after about a week. The hair will appear softer and thinner if waxing is done consistently over multiple sessions.

CPL

Calibrated Pulsed Light (CPL) targets melanin pigments in the hair strand. Melanin pigments are what make the hair dark. Light in CPL is converted to heat which effectively destroys the hair follicle. The greater the amount of pigment the more effective the treatment.

  • Will CPL hurt?

    CPL treatments typically cause less discomfort compare to waxing. Our therapists will use suitable light frequency to match your skin tone to ensure you get the least discomfort and best results for your treatments.

  • How many sessions do I need?

    As every individual is unique and different body region has different skin tone, our therapist will only be able to better advice during your visit. Most customers see results after the first to second sessions spaced 6 weeks apart. Our therapists are here to help you to achieve the best result in the least number of sessions!
